IT’S ALL ABOUT MOTION GRAPHICS

It’s been a few years since we brought our motion graphics artist Ben Emrich into the QF team. He joined us in 2015 and ever since then we’ve seen demand for animated content steadily grow…. and with that, Ben’s workload!

Ben and Win off to a busy start

Finding the right person to join him and add to the QF skill set took some time but we’re delighted that a few weeks ago, motion graphics artist Winyee Cheung came on board from direct marketing agency MRM//McCann. She had gained some good experience illustrating and animating projects for clients including TUI, Opel and GSK, but decided to make the jump from a larger agency environment to work alongside Ben. Coincidentally, they had completed an Art Foundation Degree at Farnham together prior to university and reconnected after Win applied for the QF role.

We threw her in at the deep end from day one – Ben wasn’t even here when she arrived! He was busy sunning himself in Australia on the trip of a lifetime, drinking beer and eating barbecue. He definitely wasn’t thinking about graphics and certainly not storyboarding any animations….

Ben sent us this teasing photo on a cold Monday in the office

Win got off to a great start though, getting stuck into her first project on day one. A couple of weeks later Ben finally dragged himself away from the beach to get back to his desk. Both of them have since been working alongside each other on a number of projects for Unilever, Boston Consulting Group and Diageo. If things keep going at this pace then they’ll be looking for another team mate before long!
