Diageo is committed to making its products and its business operations more sustainable. RoseIsle distillery in rural Scotland is a great example of how the company is working with local partners and engineers to minimise its environmental impact.
Raw ingredients are sourced from local farmers and the residue from the distilling process is delivered back to them as fertiliser at the end of the cycle, creating a full 360 farm-to-farm supply chain. Tight water targets are being met by water being re-purposed across the distillery and the creation of an ecosystem that feeds back into the local land. All of this is helping Diageo meet its global goals.
Our two day shoot involved interviewing a number of people involved in the supply chain and the production cycle – from RoseIsle employees through to local engineers, farmers and partners. We also captured as much of the process as possible, making sure that for any stages that could not be filmed, we could tell the story by using statistics that would help our audience visualise the scale of what is involved.
You can watch our main RoseIsle film here, which we delivered alongside two ‘We Are Diageo’ people stories from the shoot and a series of social media segments.
