Disadvantage can be experienced in many ways – poverty, conflict, geography, remote locations, cultural and gender concerns – all factors that prevent some children from accessing their fundamental human right.
Educate A Child is project that works in unison with existing NGOs providing funding and resources for experts on the ground. Some of those organisations are huge global programmes from UNHCR, CARE International or Save the Children. But others are small, local, on the ground initiatives that are forensically focussed on the problems that exist in that specific region.
Since 2015 we have been lucky enough to film across much of the world in some very remote countries and regions. We have travelled with Her Highnesses on field trips to Kenya, Gaza, the Brazilian Amazon and Bangladesh. We have visited schools and educational programmes in the Bekaa, the DRC, Sudan, Ethiopia, Cambodia and India.
With a particular focus on refugee and displaced children and the challenges facing girls in some cultures, this is some of the work we are most proud of at Quite Frankly.
