A documentary style look at how Diageo is building gender equality and community resilience in Kenya.
We were asked to bring an editorial and documentary style to tell the story of how the company is investing in water.
Not just by putting the water infrastructure in place but to also ensure that the women, who use the water points the most, have a say in how they are run. Only by making women key can water preservation be ensured.
We worked in partnership with Diageo, Care International, local government and East African Breweries to tell the story of the partnership and take a close look at how local cultural thinking had to be negotiated to bring the changes needed.
By approaching the story in an editorial, journalistic way we made sure we were flexible enough on the day to spot the best female stories. The campaign was launched to coincide with the UN 2023 Water Conference in New York.
The main short documentary film is hosted on the Diageo.com website, whilst various posts took over the Diageo social media platforms and some New York billboards.
