It all began in 2009 with their first project: the opening of an orphanage in Tilinanu which inspired the sisters as to what else could be done for the community of Lilongwe.
All of LSU’s projects are run by volunteers. They have provided much-needed healthcare, education, and skills workshops to hundreds of people within the community, created real opportunities for Malawians, and given volunteers an understanding of some of the biggest issues facing the developing world today.
Having met the sisters some time ago here in the UK, we decided we wanted to help tell the story of how LSU is making a difference. We traveled to Malawi and witnessed the projects taking place. Our films have helped LSU’s fundraising by showing how LSU is supporting the community through farming initiatives, schooling, adult literacy, and entrepreneurial training.
